Release Notes — Version 0.5.3
June 23, 2026
Controlled beta release validating the production release publication workflow.
Precision Arrow Builder 0.5.3
Precision Arrow Builder 0.5.3 is available for controlled beta testers. This release is primarily intended to validate the production release publication workflow after the first signed controlled candidate.
This release does not add new desktop features or intentionally change customer-facing app behavior. For controlled testers, it should be treated as functionally equivalent to the prior controlled candidate unless separate release evidence identifies a customer-facing change.
A beta license key is required. If you do not have a beta license key, you will be able to install the app but you will not be able to activate it.

What’s changed
- Added validation that an approved version-specific release note exists before production build, signing, upload, or publication work begins.
- Reused the approved release note as the GitHub Release body to avoid manual copy/paste drift.
- Added safeguards so already-published GitHub Release notes are verified rather than silently rewritten.
- Added release-process tests covering release-note validation, workflow ordering, and GitHub Release body reuse.
- Added PR template fields for future release-note evidence collection while keeping automated PR scraping deferred.
Controlled-candidate notes
This release is intended to validate the release publication workflow itself:
- versioned release notes;
- GitHub Release body publication;
- server release metadata;
- signed installer publication;
- checksum/provenance publication;
- controlled-customer download path.
No broad public download or general availability announcement is implied.

About security warnings for a new publisher
Precision Arrow Builder is digitally signed by Precision Arrow Builder Software, LLC. The certificate is issued by a trusted certificate authority.
Because this is a new application from a new publisher, some browsers, Microsoft SmartScreen, or antivirus software may display a caution notice when you first download or run the installer. This is expected behavior for a new signed application from a new publisher with limited reputation history. A caution notice can appear even when software is properly signed; treat the warning seriously, verify the installer using the checksum and signature guidance below, and contact support if anything looks unexpected.
You can confirm the file is what you downloaded by comparing its SHA-256 hash and verifying the Authenticode signature, as described in the Verify the installer section above. The checksum file is published alongside the installer.
Keep your security software enabled. If you see a warning, please report it to us rather than trying to work around it.
